“The best part about Barefoot YTT is how much the trainers are willing to support and help you grow. I am dyslexic and so grateful that I was able to take the exam by speaking the answers, and not have to sweat about writing them. I was able to devote my time to learning yoga, and what it takes to be a good teacher and not be disadvantaged by being my dyslexic self. It was freeing to learn my way.”
Sarah Kemp, Barefoot YTT graduate.
“Barefoot provided excellent YTT training. All trainers/teachers were experts in their field such as anatomy, asana, history and philosophy, Ayurveda, techniques and business. Their support and belief in all trainees was immense. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.” Wendy Salmon, Barefoot YTT graduate.

As a minimum you will have been practising yoga for at least 2 years and be very comfortable holding the common asanas practised in Hatha or Flow based sequences. You’ll also be clear on why you’d like to teach or take your practice deeper. You do not need to know Sanskrit or to be able to perform advanced postures.
What we ARE looking for is compassionate, open-minded, yoga-mad life-lovers! Yoga teachers OF THE FUTURE to go out into the real world and make a difference to peoples’ lives on and off the mat.
If it’s been a while since you sat down to write an essay, please don’t worry. You’ll be assessed by various methods, including journal keeping and class observation, online testing, written assignments and practical teaching sessions. The course has been designed to give you plenty of time to practise your teaching skills and build confidence.
If you’d like to learn to teach this amazing thing we call Yoga in a supportive, down-to-earth way, the Barefoot way, apply now!
