“The best part about Barefoot YTT is how much the trainers are willing to support and help you grow. I am dyslexic and so grateful that I was able to take the exam by speaking the answers, and not have to sweat about writing them. I was able to devote my time to learning yoga, and what it takes to be a good teacher and not be disadvantaged by being my dyslexic self. It was freeing to learn my way.”
    Sarah Kemp, Barefoot YTT graduate.

“Training with Barefoot is one of the best decisions I ever made. Truly excellent teachers, all knowledgable and supportive. A wide range of guest speakers to support with more specialism, and a truly wonderful group of yogis to train with. Thank you” Maria Widdows, Barefoot YTT graduate

“Barefoot provided excellent YTT training. All trainers/teachers were experts in their field such as anatomy, asana, history and philosophy, Ayurveda, techniques and business. Their support and belief in all trainees was immense. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.”  Wendy Salmon, Barefoot YTT graduate.

“I found the grounding and spiritual side of the program so wonderful. It helped me to grow as a human.” Annabel Grinbergs, Barefoot YTT graduate

    FAQs

    What experience do I need?

As a minimum you will have been practising yoga for at least 2 years and be very comfortable with sun salutations and the more common Yoga postures. You’ll also be clear on why you’d like to teach or take your practice deeper. You do not need to know Sanskrit or to be able to perform advanced postures.

What we ARE looking for is compassionate, open-minded, yoga-mad life-lovers! Yoga teachers OF THE FUTURE to go out into the real world and make a difference to peoples’ lives on and off the mat.

    How will I be assessed?

If it’s been a while since you sat down to write an essay, please don’t worry. You’ll be assessed by various methods, including journal keeping and class observation, online testing, written assignments and practical teaching sessions.
