2021 Yoga Teacher Training

Our Jan 2021 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course with Jon Moult and Tania Moutinho is NOW FULL. Register your interest for the next course HERE.
—————————————————————————————————————–
This is a non-residential, studio based course with online ‘virtual’ sessions in between the weekends we spend together. In the event of a COVID lockdown we are fully prepared to re-order the learning modules and switch from studio to online for part of the course. We learnt a lot in 2020 and produced 18 amazing new yoga teachers, thanks to Zoom and a lot of dedication from our trainees and trainers

The forthcoming course runs from January to July 2021, with a 5-day intensive at the start, followed by 8 weekend sessions (final weekend is Fri-Sun) and is accredited by Yoga Alliance, giving you an internationally recognised qualification of the highest standards. The Training will take place at Barefoot Birmingham Yoga studios, with some sessions delivered online.

Our dedicated yoga studios are based in Harborne and Kings Heath, just a few miles from Birmingham City Centre and easily accessible by public transport.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
As a minimum you will have been practising yoga for at least 2 years and be very comfortable holding the common asanas practised in Hatha or Flow based sequences. You’ll also be clear on why you’d like to teach or take your practice deeper. You do not need to know Sanskrit or to be able to perform advanced postures.

What we ARE looking for is compassionate, open-minded, yoga-mad life-lovers! Yoga teachers OF THE FUTURE to go out into the real world and make a difference to peoples’ lives on and off the mat.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
If it’s been a while since you sat down to write an essay, please don’t worry. You’ll be assessed by various methods, including journal keeping and class observation, on-line testing, written assignments and practical teaching sessions. The course has been designed to give you plenty of time to practise your teaching skills and build confidence.
