Nourish and Flow – Yoga and wellness for foodies. Served up by Deirdre Fagan, Barefoot Yoga Teacher and dietitian, and our scrummy neighbours The Plough!
Barefoot Birmingham and The Plough www.theploughharborne.co.uk are getting together to bring you a healthy eating and yoga wellness day hosted by your two favourite Harborne High Street destinations.
‘Healthy eating’. A term we’re all familiar with and see somewhere every day. We’re constantly bombarded by the media with information on new diets which claim to be the healthiest way of eating, but are they? What is healthy eating and what makes a balanced diet?
Deirdre will guide you through nutrition basics, the food groups essential for health, current food trends and bust more than a few myths. We’ll kick off with a back-to-basics talk on nutrition, followed by a delicious hour of Yoga Flow to whet the appetite… then over to The Plough to get down and dirty making simple, scrumptious snacks you can easily recreate at home – even on a tight budget, and an even tighter schedule. The Plough chefs will top it all off with a yummy healthy meal, overseen by Deirdre, in their fabulous private rooms upstairs.
A real foodie and lover of life, Deirdre wants to show you that eating well doesn’t mean complicated or tasteless food. Quite the opposite.
Yoga and good nutrition go hand in hand, and what better way to step into Spring than dusting the cobwebs off with an afternoon and evening of good food, good yoga and great fun.
